We had an incredible experience staying at Hotel Mary's House in Selcuk, Turkey. This family-owned hotel surpassed all our expectations in every aspect. Firstly, the breakfast served at the hotel was absolutely delicious. The wide variety of dishes, including local specialties, was a treat for the taste buds. The homemade touches and attention to detail made each morning a delightful culinary experience. The rooms at Hotel Mary's House were not only super clean but also had an authentic charm. The traditional decor and comfortable amenities created a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, making us feel right at home. One of the standout features of this hotel is the owner, Bugra. In addition to running the hotel, he also operates a professional tourist company that organizes tours all over Turkey. We were incredibly lucky to have Bugra as our guide during our visit to Ephesus and other nearby places. His amazing knowledge and passion for the history and culture of the region were truly impressive. Our entire family was captivated by the information he shared. Furthermore, I had the pleasure of spending an amazing evening with Bugra, having coffee and engaging in discussions about life and history. It was a truly memorable and enriching experience. Overall, I highly recommend Hotel Mary's House in Selcuk, Turkey. The combination of delicious breakfast, pristine rooms, and Bugra's expertise as a tourist guide created an exceptional and unforgettable stay. It is a testament to the warm hospitality and dedication of this family-owned hotel.

Location, location, location…This lovely little hotel is located just beneath the Church of St. John in the city’s ancient center. There are multiple places to eat & shop nearby. It is very clean, fairly new (I believe 6 or 7 years old) and the breakfast was just what we had been anticipating as lovers of Turkish cousine. Having lived in Turkey many years ago, we couldn’t decide whether to rent a car and guide ourselves or use public transportation. Bugra, the owner offered to provide airport and other transportation in his small touring van- which was quite comfortable. After taking us to Ephesus and Mary’s House the first day, we decided to hire him for the Seven Churches Tour. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Bugra is well respected, knows all the best local places to eat and shop as well as the history of the area. He’s a licensed professional and generous with his time. He has a lovely family and they make the place feel like home. His two well behaved children even came along with us one day. He is a problem solver and enjoys helping his customers with their specialty interests. We were more than satisfied with the price and service and feel that we got the most value out of our 5 night stay through his guidance and driving. We are looking forward to returning and following in the footsteps of Paul.

Hotel Mary’s House provided all the essentials we wanted, and helped with logistics that alleviated much of my worries in a foreign county. They had transportation so we didn’t have to rent a car, the best tour guide, clean rooms, laundry, a nice breakfast, and a great location for nice restaurants. I highly recommend a private tour from Bugra, the owner. He knew all the tricks to make the heat manageable in Ephesus. His tour was so insightful and interesting for my history buff husband, my devout Catholic teen daughter, and even for my other “usually bored” teen daughter. He will ask what you want to see, but I would defer to his suggestions. The location of Hotel Mary’s House was ideal, 2 minute walk to 5 local restaurants . We loved Amazon, super local, w tasty traditional appetizers and perfectly cooked beef dishes. If we had another night, next door was Kybele Gastro, which was rated #1 on TripAdvisor. While taking a walk, we came across 2 cute coffee houses 2-3 minutes away from Mary’s but we never needed them because there was a nice breakfast waiting for us each morning.

A beautiful family-run hotel with a lovely courtyard and a warm, open and knowledgeable host/professional guide! Turkish breakfast is included, the beds are very comfy and the location close to everything in Selçuk. The dolmuş (minibus) station to Ephesus and Şirince is a max. 10 minutes walk, the train station (for Izmir or Denizli) 10-15 minutes walk, and the sites like the St. John’s Basilica, the fortress, the Isa Bey Mosque and Artemision are around the corner. We took a private day tour with Buğra to Priene, Miletus and Didyma which was very informative and enjoyable. Thank you, Buğra, for sharing your knowledge, hospitality and life experiences with us! We enjoyed your company and hope we will meet again!

We felt like home right from the moment we stepped in. We were greeted with a smile and hot Turkish tea. We got help with information about local attractions and best restaurants recommendations. Our hosts Bugra even made an effort to find us Polish speaking guide for our trip to Ephesus. Very rich Turkish breakfast served on a patio amongst colorful flowers. All staff was very friendly, always ready to assist us. The location of Mary’s House is very convenient , just steps away from St. John Basilic and Ayasuluk Citadel, walking distance to ruins of Temple of Artemis, and restaurants. Short driving distance to all other attractions. I highly recommend the place and would gladly go back.
